Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of Teachbox. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Teachbox service

Teachbox provides software for tutors and learners to manage lessons, homework, materials, communication, and learning records. Tutors and learners are responsible for their own educational relationship, lesson content, pricing, payments, and compliance with laws that apply to them.

Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use Teachbox only for lawful purposes. Do not access another person’s account or data, upload unlawful or infringing content, interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass security controls.

Your content

You retain rights in the materials, notes, homework, messages, and other content you provide. You grant Teachbox the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content to operate the service for you and authorised lesson participants. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

AI features

AI-generated summaries, vocabulary, feedback, and suggestions are assistance tools. They may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed by the tutor or learner before relying on them. They are not professional educational, legal, medical, or financial advice.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar sync is optional. If connected, Teachbox will create and maintain lesson events on your calendar according to the permission you grant. You may disconnect it at any time. Teachbox is not responsible for third-party calendar availability, notification delivery, or changes made directly in Google Calendar.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Teachbox available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product improvement.

Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Teachbox is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Teachbox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You may stop using Teachbox at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights, including for material violations of these Terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. For questions, contact support@teachbox.online.
